Tyson Kane is the Founding Principal of Chicago Bulls College Prep. Mr. Kane is responsible for the overall performance, operation, and strategic direction of the school. He has led CBCP since its inception in 2009.

Prior to the formation of CBCP, Mr. Kane was a Principal Intern with the Noble Network, serving as an Assistant Principal at Golder College Prep. At Golder, he was responsible for curriculum design, teacher development, and operational and financial analysis. Before that, Mr. Kane taught high school Biology and AP Biology at Locke High School in Los Angeles, CA. There, he was a national finalist recipient of the Sue Lehmann Excellence in Teaching Award, honored by Teach for America.

Previously, Mr. Kane worked as a Senior Associate with Carlyle Management Group, an operations-focused affiliate of the Carlyle Group. There, he was responsible for evaluating acquisition opportunities, developing business strategies and operating plans, and executing turnarounds of Carlyle's portfolio companies. Prior to that, Mr. Kane was an Associate Consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). At BCG, he developed strategic recommendations and created operating models for Fortune 500 clients in the energy, consumer goods, and non-profit industries.

Mr. Kane began his career with the Chase Manhattan Corporation, concentrating in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Kane graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas with degrees in Finance, Economics, and Humanities.
